Mr. Gachara works to define strategy, identify investors and funding partners and provide assistance to creative and cultural sector ventures to achieve their growth plans. Mr. Gachara has a background in Communication from Daystar University (Kenya), Conflict Prevention and Management from the International Peace and Security Institute (Italy), Design Thinking and Problem Solving from the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Private Equity and Venture Capital, Strathmore Business School (Kenya).
Finance & Investment Manager
Ms. Njuguna has over five years of experience in financial management and has been responsible for multi-fund budgets, financial forecasting, resource allocation, financial planning and control. She also has extensive knowledge in financial markets and investments.
Ms. Njuguna holds a masters degree in Finance and Strategic management from the United States International University and numerous ACCA qualifications.
Support and Compliance
Ms. Kamwambia has over three years’ experience in accounts and administration and has been responsible for financial data processing and budgeting, debtors and creditors management. She also has extensive knowledge in tax and statutory deductions administration. She provides accounting and cash-flow management support as well as monitoring the performance of portfolios. Kendi is an ACCA affiliate and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting from Strathmore University.
dr. AKATI KHASIANI
Dr. Khasiani is a writer who holds a Master's in Public Health (Health Economics), and has worked in both the private and public health sectors in Kenya. She has extensive experience in project management, social research and administration. Dr. Khasiani is key to HEVA's policy development and ecosystem building work with multiple stakeholders, from private sector groups to partners, community members and investees. She also conducts research and presents analyses for HEVA's newsletters, reports and studies.

Built on his mathematical background, Mars' role involves research and study into HEVA's internal processes and external engagements with students, investees and industry practitioners/professionals, as well as state, philanthropic, developmental and corporate stakeholders at all levels. His findings and continued analysis inform our program strategy with regard to policy discourse both locally and regionally, and practical engagement with the wider HEVA community.
Social Media and Visual Design
Olivia Ambani is a social media consultant and visual designer at HEVA, where she creates and implements social media strategy, taking the lead on the documentation of HEVA’s events and workshops. She also produces and co-develops learning material for the Forum program, particularly the series of videos sharing HEVA’s insights on financial, market and business development for creatives with the community of industry learners and practitioners in the East Africa region.
