Set up in 2013, the fund’s founding partners chose to shift the narrative to address the sustainability of the cultural and creative industries in the region by providing an innovative financing solution for creative enterprises.
Our mission is to fuel the growth of the creative industries in Africa, empower burgeoning youth-led and women-led digital and creative enterprises, promote business and intellectual property ownership, and contribute to sustainable livelihoods for cultural practitioners and artisans.
HEVA finances creative enterprises and projects across Africa because we believe in the vision behind them. The HEVA name and logo, where they appear in works we have financed, acknowledge that financing relationship only. The views, messages, and creative expression in those works belong to their makers and do not reflect the positions or opinions of HEVA Fund.
