Grants of up to a maximum of 180,000 euro for the support of creative and cultural industries (CCIs) in 14 countries in Eastern Africa.
Implemented by HEVA in partnership with the British Council Kenya, with the financial contribution of the European Union, and further support from the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (OACPS).

After three impactful years supporting creative and cultural industries across 14 Eastern African countries, the Ignite Culture program wrapped in October 2024 with a grand showcase in Nairobi. The celebration, attended by partners, stakeholders, beneficiaries, and the general public, featured a selection of Kenyan grantees, and offered a glimpse into the spirit and impact of over 60 creative projects supported across the region.
This vibrant event highlighted projects by @kabrazen @museumsofkenya, @blackrhinovr, @uwezakenya, @jukwaaartsproductions, @performmusicincubator, @bunimedia_xyzshow, @solgenerationmusic, @makerere @eaman_museum and @bomaskenya among many others. The showcase was a colourful reflection of what intentional investment in Africa’s creative and cultural industries can achieve.
