HEVA Recognised as Ecosystem Enabler and Sector Partner at CreatiKenya Biz Awards 2026

The 14th Kalasha International Film & TV Awards, held on 2 May 2026 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi, was a milestone night for Kenya's creative industry. Nawi took Best Feature Film, Sukari picked up directing and screenplay, and Kash Money dominated the TV categories. Recognition for the filmmakers and storytellers who have been doing the work.

As part of the broader Kalasha week, HEVA was recognised at the CreatiKenya Biz Awards with two awards: Creative Ecosystem Enabler (Funding) and Development Partner of the Year (Honorary Recognition).

HEVA’s Dr Karimi Ngeera receives an award

We receive these awards as a signal from the sector: that financing infrastructure is part of what the creative economy needs to grow. Not just funding as a moment, but a sustained commitment to building the conditions where more stories can get made and more creative enterprises can scale.

Congratulations to every artist and filmmaker recognised this week. Keep building. We'll keep building with you.
